Gender Gap 2013 Report

The World Economic Forum has published their latest Gender Gap Report which can be downloaded from here. It shows some surprising results for THP program countries – Malawi and Mozambique, for example, have the highest rates of female labor force participation in the world. The report also shows how countries are progress since 2006. I’ve pulled out some selected indicators for our program countries.

The Gender Gap rankings below – overall and for each of 4 categories – are best when small – 1 means #1. They are designed to NOT reflect poverty or levels of attainment, but rather gender equality. So, for example, economic opportunity could be equal but terrible.
